Early Morning Emergency Room Review (Sharing Information on Hospitals with Foreign Language Support)

Hi ladies! I had a really embarrassing experience last night, so I'm leaving a review 😭

Yesterday, around 2 a.m., our 7-year-old Min suddenly developed a high fever and started vomiting. I checked his thermometer and it went up to 39.2 degrees Celsius, which was really scary.

My husband was working overtime, and his Korean wasn't very good, so I wasn't sure which hospital to go to. Luckily, I remembered the information I'd seen on Elephant and went to a hospital that offered foreign language support!

🌟 Foreign Language Support Service Reviews

I was really surprised! When I checked in, they first asked, "Do you need a Vietnamese interpreter?" 😭

There was a nurse in the emergency room who spoke Vietnamese, so I was able to explain my child's symptoms in detail. The doctor also explained things slowly and in simple Korean, and then repeated important points in Vietnamese.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Foreign language support service: 5 out of 5!

💊 Process and Results

Diagnosis: Acute gastroenteritis + dehydration. Treatment: 2 hours of intravenous fluids, fever reducer prescription. Cost: Emergency room treatment fee of approximately 80,000 won (insurance coverage).

The doctor reassured me, saying, "The child has a high fever, but it's not a serious problem." After getting the IV, Min felt much better, and he's almost completely recovered! 🙏

📝 Sharing helpful tips for my sisters!

💡 Before going to the emergency room , be sure to call to see if they offer foreign language support! 💡 It's easier to explain if you take notes of your child's symptoms (when, what symptoms, etc.) 💡 Don't forget to bring your insurance card and your child's resident registration ! 💡 It's a good idea to know the names of fever reducers and over-the-counter medications in advance. 💡 The emergency room is open 24 hours a day, but foreign language support may vary depending on the time zone.
